The Colonists

You were breed from the beginning to conquer Senestra-3. It took long training, many operations and loads of bionics to tune your organisms to work on strange and toxic atmo of Senestra-3.As you were few and selected, you were supposed to breed. Breed fast and efficiently, to have real Senestra-3'ers who'd have the qualities you possess, naturally. The cumbersome existence you were forced to go through would be just an fairytale for the next generation.

You know that if you'd fail, there wouldn't be anyone who'd have better chances or possibilities. You were all given a hefty portion of the Senestra-3 as token for your sacrifice. Last three years you have lived your separate lives in modification tanks. Many of you died, you know that you were the strongest, the most recilient and the ones who'd earn a lot through your change, but the burden of Senestra-3 would be eternal. There wouldn't be no going back; your alterations were irreparable. No matter what would happen, you could never leave Senestra. Long time ago, you had names and identities. Now you only possess of manufacturing model, a type to which function you were most attuned to do. Unfortunately the group doesn't quite possess all functions necassary, so you're aware that improvisation would be needed. Or maybe you'll find some of the old colonists or scouts who'd aid you in your mission. Maybe...

The older generation colonists who lived inside a dome sent quite a lot of material about the Senestra-3 before their disappearance. You know what you're up to; a hostile world which used to be inhabited in ancient times. A world full of miraclous, but so alien lifeforms that you were supposed to tame for the greater good of humankind.

There would be countless new medicines, weapons and other inventions to be found from this planet.

You are aware that it'll take some 3-4 hours for you to get even partial vision and up to a year to get full speaking abilities. Even your bionic-body wouldn't adapt faster than that.

You are sent in pairs to the location of last beacon signal sent. During last four days, there hasn't been any signals what-so-ever.

Your group of eight survivors consist of (in the pairs they enter in):

  • X-45A "Anna" - a model created for recreational use and fast breeding.
  • X-700FD "Ivan" - a strong labour model. Maybe not the smartest person around, but resilient, durable and longwinded.

  • X-700A "Old Ivan" - older labour model. Weaker and in all means worse version of new 700FD model. This model was originally never meant to be sent anywhere, but somehow this particular person survived all tests. A mistake.
  • X-0097-H "Rinox" - Scientist. Wide range super-scientist with speciality in biology and behavioural sciences.

  • X-556N "Nanny" - Nanny and caretaker of children. Natural nurturing functions tuned to the max. Very emotional.
  • X-922X "Expo" - Experimental jack-of-all-trades model. The whole idea of Expo model was invented way later than the experiment began. Late comer. None of the others know anything about the weakness' or strong sides of Expo.

  • X-47A "Adonis" - a model created for recreational use and fast breeding. Most successfull of all male breeder models.
  • X-2B4 "Bobby" - a guard and hunter model. Aimed to catch all specimens, kill possible predators and guard the breeders.

You're to be sent in pairs to the location using material transformer. Your items, belongings, tools, clothes and other items will follow right after you've been accustomed to see.

Special instructions for Colonists

You won't see in the beginning (eg. you're blindfolded). If you vision comes back during the game, take your time to play the effects. Having vision might not be trivial.
*If anyone will tap back of your neck gently during the game, you clearly notice that you've been touched by something you haven't felt before. Whether it's positive or negative is up to you. Second tap will fill your soul with longing of more, but after third tap you'll become docile and you've regained your vision (one could call it overdose of pleasure ;). Thus you won't be able to move or actively DO anything. Just relax and let events take place, watch your new surroundings.
*your blindness, but that is intentional. Having vision is not always positive thing ;)
